Papillon

We had a mixed experience at this place. Coming in, it all looked very good: we were promptly shown to a nice table outside, there was no loud music and no cold air blowing on us from an air conditioner. The food was also quite nice. First we were served some (very tasty) bread with olive oil and tapenade. The waitress quickly took our order, and the carpaccio that I had as an appetizer was fine: covered in a bit too much salad, and the pieces of cheese were somewhat large, but it was still tasty. While we were eating, various members of the wait staff frequented our table to ask if everything was okay, and if we liked the food. However, when my husband wanted to order a second beer it took him a long time to get anybody's attention, and the beer also took quite some time to arrive. Then they insisted on pouring all of it into his glass, even though he was quite capable of doing this himself.... It also took forever to settle our bill: after waiting for 15 minutes for someone to pick up my credit card I finally walked up to the waitress and handed her my card. Bottom line: the wait staff was there when you didn't need them, and wasn't there when you did. Summarizing, we liked the food but service was disorganized and spotty; this is something that will need to be addressed.

Service was friendly and attentive. Food excelent. Staff was very knowledgeable . We will be back in September 2012

This was a first time visit to this restaurent that has been open three years. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess who followed are dinner experience with caring attention. The fois grois was to die for. Salt encrusted Sea Bass excellent and Red Snapper also excellent. Hot Chocolate Lave Dessert was a great finishing touch. Great service.
