We had attempted to get reservations for Wacky Wahoo's for several days but they never seemed to answer their phones so our concierge at the Marriott suggested Blue Lobster and what a great SURPRISE! Blue Lobster sits directly across from Wacky in a small nondescript setting next to a Tattoo Parlor . We were greeted immediately by staff and sat inside which was recommended by our concierge. We had four appetizers which we shared and all were fabulous and creatively presented including Lobster Croquettes, Lobster Bruschetta, Lobster Baguettes and Fried Calamari which was made in tempura batter. For entrees, we had Lobster Lasagna, Lobster casserole and Lobster Chimichurra and each entree was of high quality and absolutely GREAT! We were greeted at out table by the owner German and the chef as well and this a place that is way underrated! I can highly recommend this place and even though it's small (Maybe seats 60 people) and this was seriously in the top 5 meals we have had over the years in Aruba!! Found this place by accident - it is really small and off the main road. What a lucky accident. It has only been open since December but already you can tell it will be a success. The owner and his son-in-law, the cook, know what they are doing. There are only about a dozen tables, half inside, half under a patio. When we were there they were packed and the solo waitress, Heidi, was doing an amazing job despite being overwhelmed. At one point, the owner pulled some additional tables our of a shed to seat some walk-in customers on the patio. The focus is on lobster but there are non-lobster items on the menu. The bouillabaisse my husband and daughter had was the best ever. Large pieces of local fish, mussels, and lobster in a flavorful but not overpowering broth. I usually don't like this soup, but I could have eaten and entire bowl myself. The lobster salad had large chunks of lobster with an unique vinaigrette that had hints of celery, lemon and balsamic. The broiled lobster tail was outstanding, perfectly seasoned. We tried both the lobster linguine and the risotto and both were very tasty but a bit too rich for us to finish the entire portion. Overall, we loved it so much we came back for a second night. This is definitely a must eat place in Palm Beach. As word spreads it will only get busier so be sure to make reservations. We went to try this place at the recommendation of hearing good things from people we encountered but hadn't tried it yet. There was about 12 tables, of which 4 were outside. "Mood" music played through-out the meal- very nice. For appetizers, we tried the lobster croquettes and the crab cakes. Very tasty and nicely prepared. Main course was Filet Mignon and Lobster tail on linguini. Excellent presentation of food. Both entrees had mixed veggies and the lobster was good but perhaps slightly overcooked and the Filet Mignon was excellent. Being only 3 weeks new, there are some modifications that can be made, like having bleu cheese dressing for a side salad. The menu not only contains lobster dishes but an array of alternates of other seafood, and meat entrees. Staff is very attentive, good beverage selection, and the dessert (pistachio chocolate cake) was awesome! We dined outside and indirectly viewed a nice sunset. Next time, will most likely dine inside. Nice color scheme and it seems that this restaurant will continue to do well and get better with time. We look forward to returning to try their lunch menu. A "must-try" recommendation.
